Paraplegic's Kite Board

Kite surfing is a new and exciting sport that is spreading fast all over the world. From the field of water sports, I find that Kite surfing has the best potential to create excitement and free movement on the water, By doing so it also achieves physical and emotional rehabilitation, for handicap people.  Another reason I chose Kite surfing was the use of the wind as a power source, which means that the surfer doesn't require a lot of physical strength, and the fact is, an extreme sport proves us that we can do much more than the ordinary person.

From observing products for the disable I found that the design approach is mostly technical and makes the user look strange and different. Working with disable people I realized that they want to look good as much as anybody else. There for I designed this kite board in a way that it will relates to the disable surfer within the non-disable surfer's visual world.

This Kite surfing board was developed for the needs and disabilities of paraplegics.
