Along with other respected design outlets such as Coolhunting and DailyCandy, VandM was selected by Brownstoner and Brooklyn Flea to host the "Curated Corner" on March 21st and 22nd, 2009. Armed with a selection of vintage finds from its top antiques dealers from the tri-state area, VandM will bring a mix of the cool and quirky to match the borough's undeniable style. Solving the thrifty New York shopper's winter blues, Brooklyn Flea - the popular outdoor summer marketplace for vintage-lovers - temporarily set up shop at two distinct indoor "pop-up" markets in DUMBO until the spring. Split between 76 and 81 Front Street, the inaugural Winter Antiques Pop-Up Market features a perfect blend of vintage furniture, collectibles, antiques, fashion items and art. Curating the larger space at 81 Front St., VandM was chosen for its high standards of quality and discerning eye for design. Although VandM has an army of dealers across the country, the temporary space will feature items from a handful of beloved local dealers such as: Albert Joseph, Circa Trade, City Foundry and Red M Studios, who know how to source unusual, quality pieces. Attendees can expect to find a wonderful blend of country, industrial modern, Asian accents, 1950's kitsch and everything in between. The Winter Antiques Pop-Up Market will be open to the public from 11am until 6pm on March 21st and March 22nd.
