10 Italian Design Masters Flying to Hong Kong BODW 2007
More than 10 Italian Design Masters Flying In For
Business of Design Week 2007
This December, Business of Design Week (bodw) 2007 is bringing the largest ever group of Italian designers to Hong Kong with this year’s partner country – Italy. Over 10 design greats from Italy will share Italian design’s mastery, craftsmanship, and modern inspiration at bodw forum on 12-14 December 2007.
During the week-long programme, bodw will echo the Italian theme with several extraordinary exhibitions from Italy:
Ø “Maestri. Design Italiano” presents the history of Italian design over the last half-century, focusing on the creativity of 21 designers credited with reinventing design using innovative technologies and new relationships between form and function.
Ø One of Italy’s most prolific architects, Massimiliano Fuksas, will bring to Hong Kong his unconventional design exhibition.
Ø “The Italian way of seating” exhibition featuring 50 years of Italian chair design from the second half of the twentieth century, illustrates the history of a product dominated by Italy’s unrivalled leadership throughout the world.
| Alberto Meda Meda made his name through extensive work with Kartell and has subsequently developed into one of the world’s rare engineers / designers of today.

This December, the hottest names in architecture will come together at Business of Design Week (bodw) 2007. These masters of Architectural design will offer insights into how they integrate their ideas and concepts with the demands of functional buildings and spaces, and the opportunities offered by new materials, new spaces, and new cultural needs.
